Mes péripéties m'ont fait passer par de nombreux sites, par de multiples définitions du gothisme. Ce qui me rassure, c'est qu'il semblerait que j'étais relativement proche de la réalité, mais je profiterai de cette adéquation de mon être au monde pour ne pas fournir de définition, pour une fois.
En tout cas la jeunesse me fait peur. Tout d'abord quand je lis le site FRANCE-JEUNES.NET : TOUTE L'ACTU PAR LES JEUNES! ; j'ai pourtant tenté d'ouvrir ma lecture à autre chose que les articles sur le gothismes... C'est écrit par des jeunes qui ne savent pas écrire et qui ont semble-t-il du mal à réfléchir, à poser les idées, à effectuer des recherches et croiser des informations (tiens, parfois ça ressemble à certains de mes élèves). Donc j'ai lu Le mouvement Gothique de nos jours... qui est plutôt bien foutu et soulève des idées très intéressantes, Savez-vous ce qu'est qu'un gothique ?, mauvais et qui y va un peu fort dans le noir comme réification de la tristesse (très enfantin), et enfin Gothique ? Pas gothique ? Qui est qui ?, embrouillé.
Ce qui m'effraie, c'est de voir ces jeunes balancer qu'ils refusent le conformisme, alors qu'ils se ressemblent tous au final, tous en noir. Pourquoi ne créent-ils par leur mouvememt, au moins ils seront uniques, genre : se coiffer d'un couvercle de poubelle jaune pour aller en soirée, etc. Bah non. Ils veulent être différents, mais tout de même avoir l'impression d'appartenir à quelque chose de plus grand, ne pas rester seul. Un article intitulé La mort dans l'âme (tiré d'un magazine canadien) est très intéressant à ce sujet et je trouve son analyse plutôt sensé : le côté ludique, la critique de la société, l'attrait pour l'éternité, faire peur à ses parents... les raisons de l'intérêt pour le gothisme peuvent être multiples chez les jeunes. Menfin l'article est un peu râté parfois, comme le passage sur la musique : « Avec son expression brute, le courant metal possède l'imagerie la plus violente. Ses adeptes recherchent ce qui symbolise la puissance du mal: les représentations du diable, les démons, les zombies, l'hémoglobine. Habillés comme les musiciens du groupe Sepultura, ses disciples sont souvent vêtus sans véritable recherche, favorisant le noir, le cuir et le latex. Leur période de prédilection est l'époque médiévale où l'on trouvait une certaine brutalité d'expression. ». Franchement, c'est de l'abus et du n'importe quoi !
Bref, pour trouver de l'information intéressante, mieux vaut s'en retourner vers ceux qui connaissant le mieux les gothiques : les gothiques eux-mêmes, surtout ceux qui savent écrire.
Pour commencer on peut citer Hellsanctuary (L'Empire de Baal / Les Cryptes de Cali) qui outre une mini-encyclopédie gothique tendance bestiaire très fournie, dispose d'une section sur le gothisme : In a Gothic Spirit. Continuons avec Cybergoth.org, qui propose entre autres l'accès à des mémoires de sociologie sur le sujet ; vraiment un site très complet, archivé mais qui continue sur NonSenZ ... vers une incompréhension du monde, sous une autre forme...
Citons aussi Anywhere out of the World qui offre une section mode intéressante (notamment la liste commentée de magasins vendant en ligne). D'ailleurs j'en profite pour signaler que le site Alchemy Gothic dont j'ai parlé hier dispose aussi d'un site Flash accessible ici.
Enfin, la presse papier fournit également beaucoup d'informations : D-Side Magazine et Elegy (seulement leur site web est mort, c'est le comble pour un magazine gothique...).
Et pour terminer, un peu d'humour : Devenir gothique : Le Guide ! sur Trauveler.net - Non ce c'est pas un site gothique ! (je reconnais, c'est parfois très scato, mais y'a deux/trois trucs sympas).

Amoureux du mascara et du liner, des cheveux noir-corbeau et des ongles ombrés, vous n'aurez plus besoin de traîner dans les soirées batcaves pour rencontrer de charmantes princesses de l'au-delà. En effet, depuis l'hiver 2002/2003 (et même avant), l'esthétisme pur est de retour, les jupons et dentelles noirs flottent au vent... L'ornementation corporelle se développe, les tatouages se font plus fins, la calligraphie à fleur de peau ne fait que prendre un nouveau départ ! Défilés après défilés, on voit timidement revenir les capes (je dis ça, mais ça fait un bout de temps – comprendre quelques années – que j'en cherche une correcte pour mon usage personnel), les chemises amples et/ou à jabot, ainsi que toutes sortes de dentelles – pour le corset, faudra attendre encore un peu, ses apparitions sont encore furtives.
Enfin bref : la démocratisation du style gothique, ce qui est plus ou moins une bonne chose. Le bon point, c'est que le gothique chic (le nom de cette évolution) pourrait remplacer avantageusement, ou du moins faire évoluer, le style gothique médiéval qui me semble poussiéreux : les robes de princesses, c'est un peu dépassé. Le mauvais point, c'est qu'on tend avec toute cette histoire à une uniformisation qui m'inquiète toujours un peu plus, jour après jour ; le style gothique est intriguant tant qu'il reste décalé, s'il se mélange au reste, ce reste en bénéficiera grandement, mais pas le mouvement originel...
Enfin bref, l'auteur du site Je suis gothique ! (je ne m'étale pas sur ce haut lieu zygomatique, j'y reviendrai lors d'une prochaine entrée) a eu la bonne idée de placer des scans d'un article d'un madame FIGARO, que je reproduis ci-dessous.

L'article est parfois un peu guignolesque, mais y'a des trucs utiles dedans. Par exemple, je ne connaissais pas les parfums Serge Lutens, comme Datura noir (moi qui adore les senteurs musquées) et Tubéreuse criminelle (on peut les trouver chez Sephora normalement). Aussi les créations d'Annette Messager (exhibition de 1995 au Muséum d'Art Moderne de New York), ou les bijoux de l'italienne Alex Nekki – va falloir que je tate de tout ça !
Je m'arrête là pour le moment, mais en bonus, voici une adresse de site pour s'équiper en ustensiles sombres : The Black Rose (distributeur entre autres de Alchemy Gothic). Ce magasin est situé au Royaume-Uni, et il vaut parfois mieux commander là-bas car les prix en France (sur Paris entre autre) sont très élevés. Dans une entrée future, je ralongerai énormément cette liste de fournisseur pour tout usage dantesque.

Doc Searls discovered after a typo mistakes that for Google “O” stands for “O'Reilly”. Because each discover leads to a development in the blog world: in a special section of ChangeMedia you can find what is called now “the Google alphabet” (developed with the Google Web APIs).

Today, according to this alphabet, “L” stands for “Europa” ("Europa - The European Union On-Line"). But if you use Google carefully, you will find that in french, «L» stands for "LEXPRESS.fr"... it would be really cool if this script could take into account the language of the alphabet...

But Jim O'Connell from Wirefarm.com made a hilarious “parody” of Joi Ito's Web. I love especialy the Pope entry:

Had brunch with the Pope this morning at St. Peter's in Rome. I set him up with a Movable Type blog and started to explain how blogging could possibly replace the sacrament of confession, if we could somehow just arrange a trackback ping to God.
He was a bit unconvinced, but after seeing a few blogs, he realized that more sins are confessed on a typical blog than in any confessional booth.
I started to explain that the Apostles were a lot like bloggers but he just kept bugging me to ride my Segway. When I finally let him take a spin around the square, he wound up crashing it into a statue and DENTED it.
Damn.
It's like 3 days old and the old geezer dented it. (Oh, I think he may have broken a hip, too.)
